Ironhorse is a small, intimate country club community nestled against the Loxahatchee Nature Preserve.  It is a private, gated community, with  324 homes ranging in size from 1,700 square feet to over 5,000 square feet (air conditioned). The homes sit on lots that range from less than ¼ acre to over ½ acre. with many homes backing on to the picturesque Arthur Hills golf course or the nature preserve, providing relaxing and panoramic views from the lanai.  There are both one and two story homes in Ironhorse with a good mix of both year 'round and seasonal residents.  Unlike many similar communities, membership in the country club is not required and the club is owned by a private individual.  There are only annual memberships available.   Built between 1992 and 2004, Ironhorse homes are priced from the low $300,000's to over $800,000.  

Recent Market Activity -- The median price of a home sold in Ironhorse during the first quarter of 2015 was $470,000, up from $432,500 during all of 2014. Home prices in Ironhorse range from a two bedroom, two bath unit selling for $325,000 up to $850,000 for a three bedroom, five bath estate home.  

Older Market Activity -- Prices of Ironhorse homes increased 16 percent during the first  eight months of 2014 compared with the same period in 2013.  A total of 22 homes in Ironhorse sold between January and the end of August, 2014 averaging $174 per square foot.  That compared with 27 homes sold for the same period in 2013 averaging $146 per square foot.  As with most country club communities, Ironhorse home values took a hit in the years between 2008 through 2012.  Through the first half of 2013, Ironhorse saw a rebound in both the number of homes sold and in pricing.  Through mid-July, 2013, 21 homes sold at an average of $147 per square foot, up significantly from 2012.  2012 was the last year that Ironhorse saw a decline with 22 homes selling for an average of $127 per square foot (including five short sales and three foreclosures).  During  2011, 19 homes sold in Ironhorse averaging $133 per square foot, down slightly from 2010. These included two short sales and three foreclosures.   Through December, 2010, 20 homes sold in Ironhorse averaging $137 per square foot.  These included eight short sales and one foreclosure.  That was down 12 per cent from 2009 when 11 homes sold averaging $158 per square foot.  In 2008, 13 homes sold averaging $172 per square foot.    Ironhorse is located in the northern part of West Palm Beach adjacent to Palm Beach Gardens, about 3 miles west of I-95 and just south of the Beeline Highway.
